Our Betoota Sailing Club Windbreaker was developed over a number of years beginning in 1992 when then club president Dennis Overell called for a uniform club colour after the infamous Lake Eyre Regatta incident of that year.
Dennis' dream was to have a team of sailors that were easily identifiable from a mile away. The red and white of the Club's boats were to be contrasted against the matt black of the windbreaker that he developed through years of trial and error. It was his favourite sailing companion.
The windbreaker helped keep him cool and dry (and kept steely desert winter breezes at bay) throughout his successful freshwater sailing career. Betoota Outfitters has recreated that windbreaker using modern materials to accompany your own journeys. The blend of nylon works wonders on land and sea.
Velcro cuffs and hem keep the wind at bay and your first layer tucked safely away. A nylon hood waits at the ready when the weather kicks up. Double-layer, symmetrical front pockets. Side pockets to keep your hands out of the wind.
100% nylon. Machine washable.
